Lead Physiotherapist - Matthew Carpenter MSc, Grad. Dip Phys, MCSP, MMACP,

Matthew Carpenter is Lead Physiotherapist and Clinical Director at Marple Physio and has over eighteen years experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist. Matthew trained originally at Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy in West Yorkshire and graduated in 1991. His first job was at Whiston Hospital in Merseyside where he gained skills working with patients in several different specialities. Four years after qualifying as a physiotherapist he moved to the USA where he continued to develop his career and took full advantage of being able to study with some 'leading lights' in the world of physiotherapy. It was here that he started to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
In 2001 Matthew gained an MSc in Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton and gained membership of the highly regarded Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). Matthew then worked at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, near Manchester, for several years where he became Outpatient Physiotherapy Manager. Then following a short spell working in smaller private physiotherapy clinics in the region, Matthew decided it was about time he started his own clinic and in 2007 Matthew took over the ownership and running of Marple Physio.
Matthew specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sports injuries and with a wealth of knowledge and experience he can offer an extremely high standard of treatment to patients attending the clinic.
Over the past three years Matthew has also been involved with work at the English Institute of Sport in Manchester. This has brought Matthew into contact with elite lottery funded athletes from many sports but he has been particularly involved with the Great Britain Disability swimming team as well as members of the GB cycling, squash and Taekwondo teams.

Since Qualifying she has gained a variety of experience working for both the NHS and with rugby teams. Liz is passionate about physiotherapy and always strives to provide her patients with the most effective and up to date treatment available. She regularly attends postgraduate courses to further her knowledge and manual therapy skills.

At Marple Physio Charlotte specialises in lower limb biomechanical assessments, treatment and management of lower limb dysfunction and pain, and sports injuries. Senior Podiatrist/Chiropodist, Clare Robinson BSc Hons, M.ch.S

Clare Robinson qualified as a Podiatrist from Salford University in 2001. Since that time she has gone on to become a Specialist Podiatrist in Wound Care, working for Stockport Primary Care Trust (PCT). At Stockport PCT she provides podiatry treatment to people with wounds to the feet and lower legs following surgery or injury that are either not healing well or perhaps are considered at risk of complications due to other conditions such as diabetes or infection.
Clare is now working evenings at Marple Physio. Here she primarily treats people of all ages and backgrounds requiring, what has generally always been considered, 'Chiropody' type treatment. This could be hard callus build up that needs attendance or corn, varruca or toe nail treatments. Clare can also provide diabetic foot assessments and treatment at the clinic.
Clare's wealth of experience in general foot health and wound care means that she is able to diagnose all foot problems and treat them with a high level of skill - communicating with GPs and Consultants where appropriate to advise them if medical intervention is needed to supplement Podiatry treatment.
